Honeycrisp

We five, Sophie, Nell, Elizabeth, Pamela, and I…… (yes, listed in ascending order of age, starting at 8 +years and ending at 70+ years)  had just read a poem written by a local celebrity in Moscow, Idaho.  It was about her broken heart and very dramatic.  We were munching delicious, just picked Washington apples, a new variety called Honeycrisp.  So we decided to create our own poem .  Each person contributed one phrase, again in ascending order of age:

     ODE TO AN APPLE

Oh, sweet on the inside

And chewy on the outside!

Fresh and crisp

I bite.

Juice drooling down my chin.

    Honeycrisp you are Good!

    I won’t forget you.
